Why Satellites Are Not Visible at 2–4 AM in Zeeland

In late November at Zeeland’s latitude (~51–52°N), naked-eye satellites are only visible in a narrow band after sunset and before sunrise, when the sky is dark but the satellite is still high enough to be lit by the Sun.

With sunrise around 08:18–08:20 and sunset around 16:44–16:45, that visible band is roughly within 1–1.5 hours of those times. At Zeeland’s latitude, that window is roughly 60–90 minutes after sunset and 60–90 minutes before sunrise.

On these dates:

• Sunset: ~16:44–16:45

• Sunrise: ~08:18–08:20

Outside the twilight bands, Earth’s shadow extends high enough that all low-Earth-orbit satellites are fully dark. From roughly 18:30 until 06:30, the entire LEO region above Zeeland is inside the planet’s umbra, meaning there is no sunlight to reflect. Even high-orbit satellites cannot produce continuous visible passes during this period. Even if we were to be generous to skepticism and add another hour or two in either direction, it would still be impossible times for satellites.

In short:

02:59 and 03:40 AM CET are physically impossible times for any sunlit satellite to be visible in Zeeland.

Why These Two Events Matter Scientifically

The Zeeland objects are now part of JRP’s officially catalogued dataset because they satisfy the core requirements of empirical UAP documentation:

1. Two-night recurrence

Two different transits over two consecutive nights are incompatible with any known orbital pass, flare pattern, or debris-decay model.

2. Multi-sensor confirmation (visible + IR)

Infrared validation eliminates:

• lens artifacts

• flares

• reflections

• ISS/Starlink interpretations

• tumbling debris signatures

3. Stable brightness and velocity

The objects exhibit:

• non-tumbling luminance

• no satellite flare spikes

• smooth energy output

• coherent spacing

This is not characteristic of LEO satellites.

4. Atmospheric behavior consistent with structured bodies

Brightness retention, trajectory smoothness, and absence of atmospheric flicker strongly suggest controlled, structured movement.

5. Geographic consistency

Zeeland has already demonstrated predictability in:

• coastal air stability

• low light pollution

• maritime sky corridors

• reduced aviation contamination

• known satellite transits

This strengthens the region’s value for long-term UAP observation. Each of these factors alone is interesting. Combined, they form a rare Class-V / Class-D UAP signature—the highest category of observation JRP recognizes outside of daylight saucer events and the 2025 boomerang vector.

These captures are exactly what Home Base was built for.
